Nick D'Arcy made his Olympic debut in London after winning the 200m butterfly at the 2012 Olympic trials in a time, 1:54.71, just outside his own Australian record. He finished fifth in his heat before missing out on the final with a sixth place finish in the semi in a time of 1:56.07.
