Nicola's Story

Nicola “Nikki” Bishop is an Australian eventing rider who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Scone, New South Wales, on 27 June 1973, she emerged from one of Australia's most prominent equestrian regions.

At Atlanta 1996, Bishop competed in the individual eventing competition aboard Wishful Thinking. She impressed during the dressage phase, finishing among the leading riders, before being eliminated during the cross-country stage.

Following her Olympic career, Bishop remained active in the equestrian community. Now known as Nikki Richardson, she has continued to contribute to Australian eventing through training and horse development programs.
