Originally from Canberra, Nikolai Topor-Stanley developed his skills as a defender through the Australian Institute of Sport and the ACT Academy of Sport. Standing at 6’2”, Topor-Stanley played his debut match for the U/23 team in 2006 and debuted for the senior team in March 2008. Topor-Stanley played for Australia at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, placing 11th.
