Patrick's Story
Patrick “Pat” Reidy is a former Australian basketball player who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Melbourne on 15 March 1971, Reidy established himself as one of the leading forwards in Australian basketball during the 1990s.
At Atlanta 1996, Reidy was a member of the Australian Boomers team that reached the semifinals and ultimately finished fourth, one of Australia's best Olympic basketball results to that point.
Domestically, Reidy enjoyed a successful National Basketball League career with the North Melbourne Giants, Newcastle Falcons and Townsville Crocodiles. A 1994 NBL champion, he earned multiple All-NBL selections and was recognised as one of the league's most skilled forwards.
