Paul's Story

Paul Gaudoin won two bronze medals with the Australian men’s hockey team at successive Olympics, in 1996 and 2000. The West Australian was a versatile asset for the Kookaburras, being capable of playing midfield and in defence, as well as going forward to be a scoring threat. The team defeated Germany 3-2 in the Atlanta bronze medal final and Pakistan 6-3 for the bronze in Sydney. As well as his Olympic medals, Gaudoin’s other successes include being captain of the Aussie team that won the hockey gold medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
