Triple Olympian Peter Hardcastle was born in the United Kingdom. Hardcastle first competed for Australia at the Olympic Games in 2000, finishing fourth in the quadruple scull. At Athens in 2004 Hardcastle rowed in the double scull and placed 12th. In 2008 he competed in the single scull and also finished 12th.
