Philip's Story

Rogers was the best male breaststroker of his generation in Australia, enjoying great success at national and international level. A triple Olympian, Rogers won medals at two of the three Games he participated in. His first Olympic success was a bronze medal performance in the men’s 100m breaststroke in 1992. Four years later, he added a second Olympic bronze medal to his collection, this time in the men’s 4x100m medley relay. He also competed at Sydney 2000, missing the final in his only event, the men’s 100m breaststroke. In both the 1992 and 1996 Games he competed in three events, the men’s 100m and 200m breaststroke and 4x100m medley.
