Roberto's Story
Roberto Manuel Enes is a former Australian footballer who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Shepparton, Victoria, on 22 August 1975, Enes played as a midfielder and was regarded as one of Australia's promising young footballers during the 1990s.
At Atlanta 1996, Enes was a member of the Australian Olyroos squad that competed in the men's football tournament. He had previously represented Australia at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship and later earned seven senior international caps for the Socceroos.
At club level, Enes played for Sydney United, Melbourne SC, Northern Spirit and Marconi Stallions, as well as English club Portsmouth. He was also part of Australia's winning squad at the 1996 OFC Nations Cup.
