Robyn's Story
South Australian Robyn Grey-Gardner was a member of the historic coxed fours crew which in 1984 won Australia its first Olympic women’s rowing medal. She teamed with Karen Brancourt, Margot Foster, Susan Chapman and Susan Lee (cox). At the half-way mark of the race, Australia was last in the field of six. But the crew picked up their pace over the final 1000m, surging home to claim the medal.
