Rohan's Story

In 2008, 16-year-old Rohan Chapman-Davies represented Australia in his first international meet at the North American Cup event in Canada, where he placed 42nd.  In 2015, as a veteran on the Nor-Am Cup circuit, Chapman-Davies became the first Australia male to podium in the grand prix standings, finishing 3rd overall.

In 2014 the skier from Mosman, NSW won two silver medals and a bronze during the Australian and New Zealand Cup series, and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

The 26-year-old had an impressive 2016/17 season competing on the World Cup circuit where he had two final appearances in Ruka, Finland, and Val St Come, Canada, and finished 9th in the Tazawako dual moguls in Japan. Chapman-Davies qualified for his World Championship debut at Sierra Nevada 2017, where he placed 15th in the singles mogul event. However, an unfortunate crash in the duals training at the 2017 World Championships required him to undergo shoulder reconstruction surgery in March.

After an intense rehabilitation program during the off-season, the Sydney-sider returned to the World Cup circuit for the pre-Olympic qualification period at the end of 2017, where he qualified for the small final at the Thaiwoo World Cup in December 2017, finishing in 13th place.

Chapman-Davies put down his best score in the first qualification run at his debut Olympic Games at PyeongChang 2018, scoring 73.96. However, it wasn’t quite enough to secure him a top-20 finals birth, and he finished his debut Olympic Games in 22nd place.
