Ronald's Story
1947 -
Triple Olympian Ron Riley OAM is regarded as one of the finest hockey players produced by Australia. He represented Australia at the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Games, winning silver medals in both 1968 and 1976. A centre forward, Riley’s prolific scoring made him a pivotal player on the national team for more than a decade. He was the leading scorer of the Olympic tournament at both Munich in 1972 and Montreal in 1976. A highly respected sports administrator, he later served as the Competition Manager of hockey at Sydney 2000.
