Ross's Story
Ross Aloisi is a former Australian footballer who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Adelaide, South Australia, on 17 April 1973, Aloisi played as a central midfielder and enjoyed a successful playing career in Australia and Europe.
At Atlanta 1996, Aloisi was a member of the Australian Olyroos squad that competed in the men's football tournament. He was an important player in Australia's Olympic qualification campaign and represented the Australian under-23 national team on numerous occasions.
Aloisi later enjoyed a professional career with clubs including Adelaide City, West Adelaide, FC Aarau, Lorient, Grazer AK, Adelaide United and Wellington Phoenix. He also earned senior international appearances for the Socceroos and subsequently moved into coaching.
