Ruth Moniz

Ruth Moniz is a former Australian artistic gymnast who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Adelaide on 20 September 1977, Moniz was a member of Australia's emerging women's gymnastics program during the 1990s.

At Atlanta 1996, Moniz competed in the women's team competition and individual all-around event, finishing 35th in the all-around. She also competed on all four apparatus: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.

Before her Olympic appearance, Moniz enjoyed success at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada, winning bronze medals in both the team competition and balance beam. These performances established her as one of Australia's leading gymnasts of the era.
