Scott's Story
Scott William Ferrier is a former Australian decathlete who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born in Melbourne on 12 June 1974, Ferrier was one of Australia's leading multi-event athletes during the late 1990s.
Ferrier competed in the men's decathlon at Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. Although injury and setbacks prevented him from completing either Olympic decathlon, he remained among Australia's top all-round athletes for much of his career.
His greatest achievement came at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, where he won the silver medal with a personal best score of 8,307 points. He was also a two-time Australian decathlon champion.
