Scott's Story
1973 -
Scott Goodman won a bronze medal in the men’s 200m butterfly in Atlanta. From Tasmania, Goodman was a powerful swimmer who entered the Games with a string of excellent domestic and international performances behind him. He recorded the fastest time in the qualifying rounds to confirm his standing as the in-form swimmer in his event. However, despite improving on his qualifying time in the final, he finished third in 57.48 seconds. Goodman later made an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for the Australian team for Sydney 2000.
