Simon's Story
Simon Francis Sheldon-Collins is a former Australian baseball pitcher who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Melbourne on 4 July 1967, he was a key member of Australian baseball during the 1990s and competed alongside his brother, Matthew Sheldon-Collins, on the national team.
At the Atlanta Olympics, Sheldon-Collins was a member of the Australian baseball team that finished seventh in the tournament. He played domestically with the Melbourne Reds and Waverley Baseball Club and was part of Australia's growing international baseball program.
Throughout his career, Sheldon-Collins represented Australia in major international competitions and enjoyed success in the Australian Baseball League, helping establish Australian baseball on the world stage.
