Song's Story
Song Yang is a former Australian badminton player who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Nanjing, China, on 12 May 1965, she later immigrated to Australia and became one of the country's leading badminton players.
At Atlanta 1996, Song competed in the women's singles event. Prior to her Olympic appearance, she enjoyed considerable success on the international circuit and within Australia.
A career highlight came at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, where she won bronze medals in women's singles and the mixed team competition. She also captured multiple Australian International titles and national honours during her distinguished career.
