Steven's Story
Steven “Steve” Jarvin is an Australian sailor who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Sydney on 27 March 1960, Jarvin competed in the Soling class and was a prominent member of Australia's Olympic sailing team.
At the Olympic regatta in Savannah, Jarvin sailed alongside helmsman Matthew Hayes and fellow crew member Stephen McConaghy in the Soling three-person keelboat class. The Australian crew finished 12th overall.
A member of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Jarvin built his reputation through competitive keelboat sailing and represented Australia at the highest level of the sport.
