Timothy's Story

Timothy David “Tim” Jackson is a former Australian sprinter who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in Sydney on 4 July 1969, Jackson was one of Australia's leading 100-metre sprinters during the 1990s and a key member of the national relay squad.

At the Atlanta Olympics, Jackson competed in the men's 4 × 100 metre relay. His Olympic selection followed years of success at the highest international level.

Jackson was part of Australia's silver medal-winning relay team at the 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg and also won a Commonwealth Games silver medal in the 4 × 100 metre relay in 1994. He recorded a personal best of 10.24 seconds for the 100 metres.
