Tracey's Story
Tracey Gaudry (née Watson) is a former Australian road cyclist who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born in Yallourn, Victoria, on 17 June 1969, she became one of Australia's most successful women's cyclists.
At Atlanta 1996, Gaudry competed in the women's road race, finishing 39th.
After overcoming a battle with lymphatic leukemia in her early twenties, Gaudry rose to become a professional cyclist, reaching a world ranking of third and winning major international events. Following her racing career, she became a highly influential sports administrator, including serving as a Vice President of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
