Vicki's Story
Victoria “Vicki” Roycroft is one of Australia's most accomplished equestrians, representing Australia at the 1984 Los Angeles, 1988 Seoul and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Born in April 1953, Roycroft excelled in both eventing and show jumping during a distinguished international career.
At Atlanta 1996, Roycroft competed in the individual and team jumping events aboard Coalminer. Her Olympic career spanned three Games, and she remains the only Australian woman to have competed in two different Olympic equestrian disciplines.
Among her greatest achievements was becoming the first Australian and first woman to win the prestigious Rome Grand Prix in 1987. She was also a multiple Australian champion and one of Australia's most successful international show jumpers.
