HAVE A GO AT OLYMPIC SPORTS
William's Story
William [Bill] McCabe was the goalkeeper for the Australian men's water polo team at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games. At 21, he was the youngest member of the team. Like his teammate Peter Bennett, McCabe also enjoyed a career in Australian Rules Football. He played with North Melbourne in the Victorian Football League, making his debut the year after the Olympics and playing four games in his first season.
