Yanda's Story
Yanda Nossiter is a former Australian sprint canoeist who represented Australia at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Born in Sydney on 24 October 1976, she competed in kayak sprint events and became a key member of Australia's women's kayaking program.
At Atlanta 1996, Nossiter competed in the women's K4 500-metre event, helping Australia finish eighth in the Olympic final.
She returned for the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and continued to represent Australia internationally throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. Nossiter was a member of the Manly Warringah Kayak Club and one of Australia's leading female sprint paddlers.
