Zhenhua's Story
Competing in the women’s table tennis team event alongside Olympic veterans Miao Miao and Jian Fang Lay, Vivian (Zhenhua) Tan made her Olympic debut in London. An accomplished player in her birth country China, Tan retired from competition in 1997. It was not until 10 years later in Australia that she dusted off her racquet and took up the sport again. She went close to qualifying for the 2008 Beijing Games before representing Australia at the 2010 World Championships in Moscow and 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
