The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program recognises young people from around the country who demonstrate the Olympic spirit – friendship, sportsmanship and striving for excellence – both on and off the playing field, through leadership and driving positive change in their school, sport and local communities.

The Change-Maker program provides young people with the opportunity to share their ideas, connect with other like-minded people and be immersed in a unique Olympic experience, hearing first-hand from Olympians.

How It Works

The Australian Olympic Change-Maker program celebrates young Australians who ‘Power the Change’. This is an opportunity to have the young people in your school or sport recognised for their fantastic work in creating positive social impact.

All Australian Secondary Schools, Recognised Olympic National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) and State Sporting Organisations (SSOs) are invited to nominate up to TWO Year 10, 11 or 12 students who actively demonstrate leadership through sport and/or use sport as a vehicle to improve health and wellbeing and drive social change in their school, sport and/or local community.

All nominated students will be able to access to our Olympic Change-Maker Series and a certificate of recognition. They will also be encouraged to submit a one-minute video expressing their interest in attending our National Summit, where up to 25 young leaders from across the country will come together virtually. Selected Change-Makers will also be in the running to have an Olympian visit their school or sports club in person to present their award: a truly unforgettable moment for the student, their school or club community.

Nominate Now

Identify up to TWO young people who actively demonstrate leadership through sport or use sport as a vehicle to improve health and wellbeing and drive social change in their school, sport or local community. They must be in Year 10, 11 or 12.

Change-Maker Series

Nominated Change-Makers receive exclusive access the Australian Olympic Change-Maker Series - a digital event celebrating young leaders that connects Olympians with students, sporting organisations and schools right across Australia.

Change-Maker National Summit

The National Summit is a unique virtual event that brings together up to 25 young leaders from around the country. During this event, students will work alongside Olympians and provide a vital youth voice and recommendations to the Australian Olympic Committee.
