Canoe Sprint – Oceania Championships
The ICF Canoe Sprint Oceania Championships are being held in Sydney at the International Regatta Centre from tomorrow Friday 16 February to Sunday 18 February.
The event is an Olympic qualifier, with the event performances key for athletes hoping to vie for selection onto the Australian Olympic Team for Paris 2024, as well as the final chance to secure canoe sprint quotas for Australia in Paris.

Artistic Gymnastics – FIG Apparatus World Cup
Artistic gymnasts open their 2024 World Cup season with the Apparatus World Cup in Cairo, Egypt from Thursday 15 February to Sunday 18 February.
Tokyo 2020 Olympian Tyson Bull, James Bacueti, Clay Stephens, Mitchell Morgans and Vedant Sawant make up a team of five Aussie men’s gymnasts competing with 70 other nations at the event.
Direct qualification is available for the top two ranked athletes in each event at the end of the World Cup series, while Olympic qualifying ranking points are available for athletes who place in the top 16.

Taekwondo – US Open Championship
Coming off the back of a successful campaign at the Canada Open Championships, Australia’s top taekwondo athletes have headed south to Reno, Nevada to compete in the US Open Championships, taking place from Friday 16 February to Sunday 18 February.

Athletics – Maurie Plant Meet
Australia’s Olympic track and field stars Matthew Denny, Nicola Olyslagers, Michelle Jenneke, Rohan Browning, Stewart McSweyn, Liz Clay and more are set to battle against some of the world’s best at the Maurie Plant Meet.
The meet, back for its second year, is taking athletes to Melbourne tonight Thursday 15 February from 6pm AEDT.

Australia’s newly crowned fastest woman in history is set to ignite the night with teenager Torrie Lewis ready for a white-hot showdown against New Zealand’s sub-11 second sprinter Zoe Hobbs.

Swimming – World Aquatics Championships
The Aussie Dolphins continue their World Aquatics Championships campaign in Doha, Qatar tonight through Monday 19 February.
Currently sitting in fourth place on the medal table with one gold, five silver and two bronze medals, the Dolphins are looking for a strong finish to their 2024 World Aquatics Championships performance.

Water Polo – World Aquatics Championships
The Stingers World Aquatics Championships campaign in Doha, Qatar is near its end as they are set to play off for 5th place against the Netherlands on Saturday 17 February at 12am AEDT.
Meanwhile, the Sharks will play against the People’s Republic of China tonight Thursday 15 February at 5pm AEDT for 11th place.

Hockey – FIH Pro League
Australia’s hockey teams have been competing in India as part of a FIH Pro League mini series, with more matches against top international teams to come.
Coming off two wins, the Kookaburras are up for three matches this week against India (1am AEDT Friday 16 February), the Netherlands (11pm AEDT Friday) and Spain on Wednesday 21 February at 11pm AEDT.
The Hockeyroos, in third position on the ladder, will play the United States tonight at 7pm AEDT, India (1am AEDT) and the Netherlands (11pm AEDT) on Sunday 18 February to conclude this leg of the FIH Pro League campaign, with the season resuming in May.

Table Tennis – ITTF World Teams Championship
Busan, South Korea is hosting the World Teams Championship from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 February, with Australia’s elite men’s and women’s teams set to compete.
Our men’s and women’s teams include an array of Olympic and Commonwealth Games talent. Nicholas Lum, Finn Luu and Aditya Sareen make up the men’s team whilst the women’s group includes Jian Fang Lay, Michelle Bromley, Melissa Tapper and Tracy Feng.

BMX Racing – Oceania Championships
Held in Brisbane this Sunday 18 February, the BMX Racing Oceania Championships will see elite BMX racers compete for the Oceania title.

Badminton – Uganda International
Five Aussies are taking on the Uganda Badminton International tournament from Wednesday 21 February to Sunday 25 February.
Tokyo 2020 Olympian Gronya Somerville, Nathan Tang, Tiffany Ho, Kenneth Choo and Jacob Schueler are set to spearhead the international event.

Shooting – Sydney Cup #1
Australia’s elite shooters vying for Olympic selection are heading to Sydney for a four-day domestic competition from today Thursday 15 February to Sunday 18 February.
The competition is part of the nomination/selection component towards qualification for this year’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Rifle, shotgun, and pistol athletes will compete in this week’s Olympic nomination event.

Surfing – WSL World Championship Tour
The next stage of the World Surf League Championship Tour carries through the weekend until Thursday 22 February at Sunset Beach, Hawai’i.
Molly Picklum is entering the next stage coming off a second-place finish at last week’s Banzai Pipeline. Eleven other Aussie surfers will compete in this stage of the World Championship Tour this coming week.
