Shooting – Rifle & Pistol World Qualification Tournament
Aussie shooters have arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for their final Olympic Qualification Championship, held from today Thursday 11 April to Saturday 20 April.
Quotas are on offer for each Olympic shooting discipline with countries eligible to qualify a maximum of two athletes in individual events and two teams in the mixed team events. One quota spot is on offer for each rifle and pistol event on the programme, with the top ranked eligible finisher earning a quota for their country.

Football – Men’s U23 Asian Cup
The Olyroos are competing in the AFC U23 Asian Cup in Qatar from Monday 15 April until Friday 3 May.
The group stage kicks off at 11:00pm AEST against Jordan.
It is the final chance for the Olyroos to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The top three teams will qualify for Paris with the fourth placed team entering a playoff against the fourth placed team from Africa’s CAF.

Athletics – Australian Athletics Championships
Australia’s elite track and field athletes are competing in Adelaide this week at the Australian Athletics Championships from Thursday 11 April until Sunday 14 April.
The event will see more than 3,600 athletes vying for national titles in their respective events, including Olympians Rohan Browning, Eleanor Patterson, Michelle Jenneke, Liz Clay, Jessica Hull, Nina Kennedy and many more.

Surfing – WSL World Championship Tour
The WSL World Championship Tour has headed over to Western Australia for the Margaret River Pro.
Starting today Thursday 11 April and continuing through to Sunday 21 April, 16 Aussies are in contention.

Rowing – 2024 World Cup 1
The first meet of the 2024 Rowing World Cup has sent Aussie rowers to Varese, Italy from Friday 12 April until Sunday 14 April.
Australia has entries in the men’s double sculls, men’s four, men’s quadruple sculls, women’s four and women’s eight.

Rhythmic Gymnastics – FIG World Cup 2024
After shining at the Sofia Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria last weekend, Aussie rhythmic gymnasts are staying put for the FIG World Cup commencing tomorrow 12 April.
Australia has six entries in the individual category and two teams entered in the competition.

The Kookaburras are hoping to continue their winning streak against India tomorrow Friday 12 April and Saturday 13 April to close off their friendly five-game series in Perth.

Modern Pentathlon – UIPM 2024 Pentathlon World Cup 2
Australian modern pentathletes are on their way to Ankara, Türkiye to compete in the second edition of the 2024 UIPM World Cup on Wednesday 16 April.
Flying the Australian flag will be Genevieve Janse van Rensburg, Rhys Lanskey and Tim Oliver.
