A record 10th individual world title for Jess Fox and Paris quota spots in women's canoe, women's kayak and men's kayak at the Canoe Slalom World Championships, Judo bronze for Katharina Haecker, BMX Racing gold for Saya Sakakibara and a top eight triathlon finish at the World Championship finals headlines the weekend in Olympic sport.

Canoe Slalom - Fox crowned World Champion as Aussies finish second on Canoe Slalom World Championships medal table

With seven top 10 finishes from the Australian paddlers and spots on the start line of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games secured in women's kayak, women's canoe and men's kayak, a successful campaign at the Canoe Slalom World Championships wrapped up at the London 2012 Olympic venue.

After winning C1 bronze on Friday, Jess Fox made history winning her 10th individual World title with her gold medal performance in the women's K1.

With the women's team of Jess Fox, Noemie Fox and Kate Eckhardt winning gold in the team event, Australia finished second on the World Championships medal tally.

Placing 5th in his first ever World Championships final in the men's K1, Tim Anderson secured Australia a Paris 2024 quota with his near faultless run and his best international competition result.

In the Kayak Cross event, Noemie Fox and Lucien Delfour were the only Aussies to progress from the time trials to the 30-paddler heats, with Noemie finishing 8th overall and Lucien 13th.

Matt Hauser capped off his season with an eight place finish at the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Pontevedra, finishing in 1.43.04, 42 seconds behind winner Dorian Coninx of France.

Brandon Copeland and Luke Willian were the next highest Australians in the men's event, finishing 27th and 28th respectively.

Natalie van Coevorden finished 21st to top the Australian women, just ahead of Jaz Hedgeland in 23rd, Charlotte McShane in 27th and Sophie Linn in 30th.
