Sarah Young was selected in the 2004 Athens Olympic Team but devastatingly broke her foot in a final practice session and could not compete. Young returned for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 2004 Australian Hockey League Player of the Series helped the Australians to a fifth place finish.
