CYCLING – TRACK: Two gold are on offer on day three in the velodrome with the finals of the women’s team pursuit and the women’s keirin headlining the session, with the men’s sprint competition continuing with the quarter and semi-finals.
Australia’s brave quartet of Annette Edmondson, Melissa Hoskins, Amy Cure and Georgia Baker have enjoyed two valuable days of rest ahead of their first round clash with reigning world champions USA at 11am.
Defending Olympic gold medallists Great Britain take on Canada, with the winners of the two heats to battle for gold from 450pm. The two fastest times from the remaining six teams will ride for bronze.
The women’s keirin final is set to bring the fans to their feet, with three-time keirin world champion Anna Meares and Stephanie Morton to line up against each other after teaming on day two to finish just two-tenths of a second off the podium in fourth.
Matthew Glaetzer and Patrick Constable continue in the men’s sprint, with Glaetzer to face Maximilian Levy (GER) with Constable lining up against Skinner for the quarter finals.

• Women’s team pursuit: first round at 11.20am on August 13 (12.20am August 14); final at 4.50pm on August 13 (5.50am August 14).
• Men’s Sprint: runs August 12-14, with the final at 500pm (6am AEST August 15)
