David Morris has delivered an impressive performance in a Nor-Am aerial skiing event in Mont Gabriel, Canada, landing his two triple somersaults to earn 198.08 points and third place from the judges. It was the first time AIS/OWI skier Morris, had attempted the two triple jumps in competition, and the judges rated them highly, awarding him air scores that ranged between 6.0 and 6.8 (out of a possible 7).

It was the first time AIS/OWI skier Morris, had attempted the two triple jumps in competition, and the judges rated them highly, awarding him air scores that ranged between 6.0 and 6.8 (out of a possible 7).

The 24-year-old Mt Buller skier also earned a start in the forthcoming World Cup in Deer Valley later this month, and in the Vancouver 2010 test event in Cypress Mountain at the beginning of February.

World Cup skier Oliver Rochon of Canada won the event on 226.13 points, with silver going to team-mate Ryan Blais on 224.89.
