Ski & Snowboard Australia 15-year-old Scott James has opened the door to Olympic selection after finishing in 15th place in a World Cup halfpipe in Stoneham, Canada. The former US Junior champion missed a place in the final by just three spots, but did enough to post the 100 FIS point result that was needed to meet the Vancouver 2010 qualifying standards.

The former US Open Junior champion missed a place in the final by just three spots, but did enough to post the 100 FIS point result that was needed to meet the Vancouver 2010 qualifying standards.

James earned 32.9 points from the judges for his best run, claiming the first top 20 result of his short career.

Finnish rider Janne Korpi took the gold from Canadian Jeff Batchelor
