National coach, Frank Murray, has announced the Hockeyroos squad to compete in the Beijing Olympics' test event from August 8-13.
Taking place twelve months out from the Beijing Olympics, the Good Luck Beijing Tournament will see the Hockeyroos test the new surface and facilities against host nation, China, as well as other invited teams, Argentina and South Africa.
The tournament will also see the Kookaburras competing against China, Pakistan and Malaysia at the same time, with Barry Dancer looking to announce his team upon the completion of the European Tour.
The Hockeyroos will use the last three tests of their current series against Japan, in Adelaide on Wednesday and Port Lincoln on Friday and Sunday, to build on the momentum already gained from two wins out of three matches, to prepare for the trip to Beijing.
It's a busy couple of months for the team as they complete their current series and head off to the Good Luck Beijing Tournament before returning to Australia for Olympic qualification in Buderim, Queensland from 11-16 September - against New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
